Calpe – Where the Rock Touches the Sky
Calpe
Calpe is a Costa Blanca jewel, defined by the striking Peñón de Ifach, a massive limestone rock that rises 332 meters above the Mediterranean. This natural park offers hiking trails with breathtaking views, where the sea meets the horizon in every shade of blue.
Below the rock, Calpe’s golden beaches—Playa de la Fossa and Arenal-Bol—invite long, lazy days under the sun. The town’s old quarter is a charming maze of mosaic-paved streets, colorful murals, and ancient walls that tell stories from Roman and Moorish times. Between the beach and the old town lie Calpe’s salt flats, home to graceful flamingos that add a splash of pink to the scenery.
With its mix of nature, history, and coastal charm, Calpe offers something for every traveler—whether you’re climbing to the top of the Peñón, savoring fresh seafood by the harbor, or simply watching the sunset paint the rock in golden light.
